The Vaal Wedding Association was brought to life for the express purpose of promoting the wedding industry in the Vaal triangle, members of the Vaal Wedding Association as preferred service providers and the "Vaal 21" region as a wedding and function destination.
To this end, Vaalwed members subscribe to our code of professional ethics and actively promote the organization and their fellow members. With the exception of our venues, all our members are available for functions throughout the country.
Our marketing drive throughout the year includes exhibiting the association at one of the local shopping Malls, organising and hosting our own wedding expo at the Emerald Casino, running our own unique web site at www.vaalwed.co.za, liaising with our partner websites, www.vaaltriangleinfo.co.za and www.guestinafrica.co.za ,aimed specifically at venues and accommodation throughout the Vaal 21 region and the free distribution of our exclusive wedding and function planner magazine.
This year ( 2010 / 2011) will see this magazine distributed at the Rand Show, the Tourism Indaba, O.R.Tambo international airport and one of the Wedding Expos in London, England.
Vaalwed has been servicing the wedding industry for the past 12 years. With our members covering all aspects of the wedding day or special function and clients from all walks of life, including the corporate world, Vaalwed is the only organization of it’s kind in the country. Our mutually beneficial liaison with the local media, both printed and radio, as well as the local commercial sector and local, regional and provincial government is impacting positively on the promotion of the region as a wedding and special function destination.
The Vaalwed Wedding Expo, held annually in August since 1999, has developed into a popular, prestigious and well-supported event on the local Calendar. We look forward to a constructive year ahead, monthly association meetings, communication and referrals between members and the exceptional abilities and talents of all our members will ensure yet another successful year for the wedding and special function industry in the "Vaal 21" region.
